Pogacar Dominates Stage 14 in Pyrenees, Extends Lead.

Slovenia's Tadej Pogacar solidified his lead in the Tour de France by securing a commanding win on stage 14 in the Pyrenees.

UAE-Team Emirates' Tadej Pogacar, adorned in the yellow jersey he has held since stage four, surged up the Saint-Lary-Soulan Pla d'Adet summit finish, finishing 39 seconds ahead of defending champion Jonas Vingegaard from Denmark.

Vingegaard, riding for Visma-Lease a Bike, tried to keep pace with Pogacar during the final climb after the Slovenian launched a bold attack with 5km remaining, but couldn't maintain the pace.

Despite Belgium's Remco Evenepoel losing time and finishing third, which included the iconic Col du Tourmalet climb, Vingegaard moved up to second place overall in the general classification.

Vingegaard now trails Pogacar by one minute and 57 seconds, with Evenepoel an additional 25 seconds behind.

Following two flat stages, the race returned to the mountains, where the top contenders will continue their battle over the weekend before a scheduled rest day on Monday.

UAE-Team Emirates approached the 151.9km stage from Pau with the goal of preserving Pogacar's lead, which started the day at 66 seconds over Evenepoel, with Vingegaard eight seconds further back.
