Callum Hudson-Odoi and the unbeaten Nottingham Forest delivered a stunning blow to Liverpool at Anfield, bringing an end to Arne Slot's flawless start as Reds boss.

The substitute cut in from the left and placed a perfect shot into the far bottom corner, beyond Alisson’s reach.

Nottingham Forest’s victory was their first at Liverpool since 1969.

Liverpool arrived at Anfield full of confidence, having won their first three games without conceding. They had the better chances, especially in the first half. 

Luis Diaz came closest to scoring before the break, hitting the near post from a tight angle.

Forest’s goalkeeper, Matz Sels, made a crucial save to deny an Alexis Mac Allister header and was fortunate when he nearly let Diaz’s shot slip into his own net.
