Morocco's Slaoui Poised to Make Olympic Eventing History.

Noor Slaoui has a deep love for horses. Her passion extends to mules, donkeys, and anything related to equines.

It's no surprise that Moroccan rider Noor Slaoui is set to make Olympic history in eventing.

On July 27, the 29-year-old will ride her horse, Cash In Hand, at the Palace of Versailles, becoming the first person from the Middle East or North Africa to compete in this equestrian discipline.

"I did it out of passion, so I never really thought about it this way," she shared with Sportshour on the BBC World Service.

"But it is a real honor.

"There is a strong equestrian tradition in Morocco and the Arab world. I'm very proud to follow in those footsteps and represent these countries."
