Hewett Claims First Gold with Reid in Doubles Triumph.

Alfie Hewett has secured his first Paralympic gold medal by teaming up with Gordon Reid to win the men’s wheelchair tennis doubles.

The British duo of Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid triumphed over Japan's Tokito Oda and Takuya Miki with a score of 6-2, 6-1 at Roland Garros.

This victory marks a career 'Golden Slam' for Reid and Hewett in doubles, highlighting their dominance in men's wheelchair tennis.

Despite the straight-sets win, the first set was highly competitive, lasting an hour with both teams having eight break-point chances.
