Golden State Warriors Mourn the Loss of Assistant Coach Dejan Milojevic.

Golden State Warriors Assistant Coach Dejan Milojevic passed away at age of 46 due to a Heart Attack.

Serbian coach Milojevic of the Golden State Warriors passed away unexpectedly in Salt Lake City, Utah, after falling ill at a team dinner.

Despite life-saving efforts, he succumbed to the illness on Wednesday morning.

Head coach Steve Kerr described him as a positive and beautiful human being who brought joy to every day with his passion.

The Warriors, deeply devastated, postponed their scheduled game against the Utah Jazz, with tributes held across the NBA.

Milojevic, born in Belgrade, joined the Warriors in 2021 and was part of the coaching staff that secured the NBA title in 2022.

A former professional player, he served the Serbia team for 14 years and became assistant coach in December 2019. His coaching career also included a stint with KK Buducnost in Montenegro before joining the Warriors.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver expressed condolences, noting Milojevic's impact on the global basketball community.

The Warriors are set to face the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday, and the basketball world mourns the loss of a beloved colleague and friend.
