Girmay Triumphs Again While Roglic Crashes and Loses Crucial Time.

Biniam Girmay, making history, sprinted to his third victory at this year's Tour de France. However, overall contender Primoz Roglic lost considerable time due to a late crash during stage 12.

Eritrean cyclist Biniam Girmay made history as the first black African to win a Tour de France stage with his opening victory on stage three. He continued his success with another triumph on stage eight.

Riding for Intermarche-Wanty, the 24-year-old edged out Wout van Aert in a thrilling bunch sprint in Villeneuve-sur-Lot, though Mark Cavendish initially placed fifth before a relegation decision.

Meanwhile, Tadej Pogacar maintained his hold on the yellow jersey, leading by one minute and six seconds over Remco Evenepoel. Defending champion Jonas Vingegaard trails by an additional eight seconds.

However, podium contender Primoz Roglic suffered a setback, dropping from fourth to sixth in the overall standings. A late crash left him with a torn jersey and injured shoulder, costing him two minutes and 27 seconds to the leaders.
