England's Max Burgin has been forced to step down from the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games due a calf problem.
The news will be a disappointment to British athletics fans who were looking forward to seeing him make his World Championships debut after clocking a world leading mark of 1:43.52 in Turku last month.
Max Burgin won the British title in Manchester in 1:44.54 with his trademark front-running style.
Initially its was supposed to be a calf strain in his right leg later after full proper diagnosis it was revealed to be DVT, a blood clot that usually develops in the leg and can lead to more serious health issues.
