Dramatic 94th-Minute Goal from Cyriel Dessers Salvages Rangers' Draw with Dynamo Kyiv.

Cyriel Dessers delivered a thrilling 94th-minute equalizer, securing Rangers a vital 1-1 draw with Dynamo Kyiv in the first leg of their Champions League qualifying battle.

Dessers' late goal kept Rangers' hopes alive as they aim to advance to the group stages of Europe’s premier competition.

Despite growing criticism at the start of their season, Rangers came back to secure a crucial 1-1 draw against Dynamo Kyiv. Philippe Clement's side fell behind to Andriy Yarmolenko's first-half goal but salvaged a valuable result with Cyriel Dessers' last-minute equalizer.

The match, played at a partially filled Lublin Arena due to the war in Ukraine, saw Rangers struggle with missed chances and defensive lapses, similar to their recent goalless draw with Heart of Midlothian.

The second leg, which will be broadcast live on BBC Scotland, will be held at Hampden due to ongoing construction at Ibrox, meaning neither team will play on their home ground.

The winner of this tie will face either RB Salzburg or FC Twente for a spot in the 2024-25 Champions League, with Salzburg currently leading 2-1 from the first leg.
