Cardinals NFL star JJ Watt announced his retirement from NFL.

Five-time All-Pro J.J. Watt of Arizona Cardinals has officially announced his retirement from NFL after a magnificent spell of 12 NFL season.

J.J. Watt has played for the Cardinals for the past two seasons after signing with Arizona in free agency. The Cardinals played their final home game of this season on Christmas Day, losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in overtime, 19-16.

Watt played for the Houston Texans from 2011-2020 after being a first-round pick out of Wisconsin. His 101 career sacks still are the most in Texans' history, by far.

The 33 year old, Watt leaves behind a legacy of greatness on and off the field. A five-time Pro Bowl honoree as well as he was named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame All-2010s Team and three times selected as the Defensive Player of the Year.

In 2017, he was named the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year and the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year after he spearheaded a fundraising effort that brought in more than $37 million in Hurricane Harvey relief for the Houston community, where he played with the Texans.
