Brazil Dominates Spain to Set Up 2008 Olympic Final Rematch with the United States.

Brazil dominated world champions Spain, securing a place in the Olympic women's football final against the United States, a repeat of the 2008 showdown, in Paris on Saturday.

An Irene Paredes own goal gave Brazil an early lead, and Gabi Portilho added a second just before half-time, surprising the gold medal favorites. Adriana scored a third for Brazil, even without their all-time leading scorer Marta, who was suspended.

Spain briefly hoped when Duda Sampaio scored an own goal, but Kerolin made it 4-1 in the first of 15 added minutes. Salma Paralluelo scored a late consolation for Spain.

Spain will face Germany for the bronze medal in Lyon on Friday (14:00).

Brazil, guaranteed to at least match their previous best showings from 2004 and 2008 when they won silver, will face the United States in the final.
