Its a great achievement for Hussamuddin to get a spot in the Common Wealth Games. Finally he has done this miracle by defeating his friend cum rival boxer Kavinder Singh Bisht in the ring.
After a great fight between the two, finally the judges announces 4:1 split decision in favor of 28-year-old Mohammed Hussamuddin against 2019 Asian silver medalist Kavinder Singh Bisht. The feather-weight boxers (57kg) are rivals in the ring and friends outside of it.
Winning the match the both rivals were seen in a conversation and finally Kavinder Singh hugged Hussamuddin in a warm way and congratulate him for his winning and for getting a spot in CWG.
In a press conference Hussamuddin shared that “We are opponents as well as best friends too. That also means we know the tactics of each other. While Kavinder starts with a flurry of power punches, I have to rely on my counter punches. I also have to rely on variations to surprise him.”
