Bournemouth Owner Foley Rejects Overseas Premier League Games.

Bournemouth owner Bill Foley opposes any idea of playing Premier League games outside England.

During an exclusive interview with BBC Sport in Santa Barbara amid his club's US pre-season tour, Foley emphasized his deep respect for the game and its fans, dismissing the idea of overseas competitive domestic matches as unsuitable.

Back in May, Fifa announced the formation of a working group to evaluate the potential effects of such matches.

While the Premier League has stated it has no intentions to participate, La Liga from Spain remains optimistic about organizing games in the US during the 2025-26 season.

Bournemouth is among the ten Premier League teams engaging in pre-season matches in the US this summer.

"I firmly believe that what we're doing today, along with other pre-season fixtures, is exactly what we should be focused on," Foley affirmed.
