Arsenal had a smooth win against Bournemouth, securing a four-point lead at the top of the Premier League, ahead of the games scheduled for Saturday.
The Gunners had a strong first half, scoring just before halftime with Bukayo Saka's penalty kick after Kai Havertz was fouled by Bournemouth's Mark Travers.
In the 70th minute, Leandro Trossard doubled Arsenal's lead with a well-placed shot, set up by Declan Rice. Rice himself scored in extra time, boosting Arsenal's goal difference.
Bournemouth picked up pace in the second half, with Dominic Solanke and Justin Kluivert testing Arsenal's keeper, David Raya. Despite Antoine Semenyo's goal being disallowed due to a foul by Solanke, Arsenal's Gabriel also had a goal ruled out for offside.
The win puts Arsenal comfortably at the top of the table, though their lead may change with Manchester City playing later.
