Anthony Edwards has been fined for using homophobic language.

Minnesota Timberwolves star guard Anthony Edwards has been fined an amount of $40,000 (£31,100) by National Basketball Association (NBA) for using offensive and derogatory language on social media.

Minnesota Timberwolves president Tim Connelly expressed total disappointment with Anthony Edwards after the player made homophobic comments to the LGBTQ community in a video posted on his Instagram page over the weekend.

After the harsh criticism he received from the public on social media, the Timberwolves player apologized to the LGBTQ community.
