Stage Four Victory for Milan as Pogacar Keeps Giro d'Italia Lead.

Jonathan Milan of Italy dashed to victory on stage four of the Giro d'Italia, while Tadej Pogacar maintained his top spot in the overall standings.

Lidl–Trek rider Milan, aged 23, clinched victory in a sprint finish ahead of Australia's Kaden Groves and Germany's Phil Bauhaus.

This win came right after Milan was narrowly beaten by Belgium's Tim Merlier on stage three.

Meanwhile, Tadej Pogacar, the two-time Tour de France champion, maintains a comfortable 46-second lead over Geraint Thomas in the overall standings.

The fourth stage on Tuesday covered 190km from Acqui Terme to Andora along the Italian Riviera.

During the race, the peloton, which included favorites like Pogacar and Thomas, caught a breakaway group just before the final five kilometers, setting the stage for the expected sprint finish.

Italy's Filippo Ganna made a late attempt to break away, but Milan, also from Italy, managed to secure the win on home turf after a near miss the previous day.
