Silva's Summer Switch: Chelsea Defender Joins Fluminense in May.

Following Chelsea's last Premier League match on May 19th, Thiago Silva is set to make a move to Brazilian club Fluminense.

Silva, aged 39, will be linking up with his new squadmates at Fluminense before his official registration transfers on July 1st. The Brazilian center-back has inked a two-year deal with Fluminense.

Having arrived at Chelsea on a free transfer from Paris St-Germain in 2020, Silva has left his mark with 152 appearances for the Blues, claiming three trophies, including the prestigious 2020-21 Champions League title.

Expressing his deep affection for the club back in April, Silva described his love for Chelsea as "indescribable" when he announced his departure from Stamford Bridge this summer.
