Local Favorite Sinner Pulls Out of Italian Open.

Italy's tennis star Jannik Sinner has revealed that he's collaborating with doctors to ensure his fitness for the upcoming French Open. He made this announcement after deciding to withdraw from the ongoing Italian Open in Rome.

The world's second-ranked tennis player recently clinched his first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open and is among the favorites for the upcoming Roland Garros tournament, set to begin on May 26th.

Unfortunately, 22-year-old Sinner, who has secured titles in Rotterdam and Miami since his victory in Melbourne, had to withdraw from the ongoing Italian Open due to a hip injury. He also pulled out of the Madrid Open last week after making it to the quarter-finals.

Expressing his disappointment, he mentioned, "It is not easy to write this message but after speaking again with the doctors and specialists about my hip problems I have to announce that unfortunately I will not be able to play in Rome."

Sinner added that he was looking forward to playing in front of the Italian crowd, as Rome is one of his favorite tournaments.

This announcement follows the withdrawal of Spain's Carlos Alcaraz, ranked third in the world, from the same tournament.
