England Footballers Hold Talks with Police Regarding Racism Concerns.

England's footballers recently met with police officers to discuss the potential threat of online racism during Euro 2024.

The officers assured the players that they are committed to taking any instances of abuse seriously throughout the tournament.

Following the team's loss in the 2021 championship final, Marcus Rashford, Bukayo Saka, and Jadon Sancho faced racist abuse online.
However, the lead for football policing in England and Wales mentioned that prosecuting offenders has become easier due to increased cooperation from social media platforms.

Chief Constable Mark Roberts shared that his officers briefed the squad at England's St George's Park training base in March, offering support and advice on protecting themselves online. He emphasized that they are ready to take action against abusive behavior, including prosecution.

As preparations for Euro 2024 ramp up, authorities are gearing up for a significant deployment of British police officers to ensure the safety of fans, anticipating a large turnout for the event.
