Tokyo Paralympics champion Avani Lekhara secured a spot at the 2024 Paris Paralympics after winning the gold medal in the Para Shooting World Cup in women's 10m air rifle standing SH1 in France on Tuesday. Breaking her own world record of 249.6, the 20-year-old Avani bagged the Gold medal with a record score of 250.6 in the Para Shooting World Cup in women's 10m air rifle standing SH1 in France. With the score of 247.6, Poland's Emilia Babska won the silver medal while Anna Normann of Sweden got bronze with a score of 225.6.

Indian Chess Master Viswanathan Anand claimed his second win by defeating Bulgarian Veselin Topalov in the Classical section to take the lead at the Norway Chess tournament. The 52-year-old Anand wins over his opponent Veselin Topalov in 36-moves after the second round. Viswanathan Anand the five-time world champion leads with six points in the table.
