World champion, Magnus Carlsen was defeated by Indian Chess champion Viswanathan Anand in round seven of the blitz event of the Norwegian Chess and ends at fourth position.

R Praggnanandhaa, Viswanathan Anand defeated the world No. 1 in a one-day blitz tournament, as a result Indian chess players are going and getting better of world champion Magnus Carlsen.

In the 10-player blitz event early on Tuesday, Viswanathan Anand was beaten by Anish Giri (the Netherlands) and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (France) in the fourth and ninth round and finally finishes with 5-points in the points tally
