Full schedule and important dates of FIFA World Cup 2022 at Qatar.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament will kick off in Qatar between 20 November and 18 December 2022. It will be the 22nd edition of the competition, and the first played in the Arab world.

The draw for the World Cup group phase took place in Doha, Qatar, on April 1 2022 to set the stage for the tournament.

A total of 32 teams will take part in the tournament, out of these 32 teams only Qatar qualified as host of the tournament while 31 teams has been selected on the basis of proper qualification process.

The final three qualification places were filled in June, with Wales, Australia and Costa Rica completing the 32-team line-up.

64 matches will be played during the entire duration of the tournament, the 32 teams will be divided into 8 groups of 4 teams each.
