Ex-England and Bath Coach Jack Rowell Passed Away.

Jack Rowell, former head coach of England and Bath, has passed away at 87.

Jack Rowell, who coached England from 1994 to 1997, has passed away at 87. Under his leadership, England won 21 of 29 Tests, achieved the Five Nations Grand Slam in 1995 and 1996, and reached the World Cup semi-final in 1995.

England head coach Steve Borthwick expressed his condolences, saying, "We are saddened to hear of Jack Rowell's passing and extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. As a player at Bath, I had the privilege of working with him when he was director of rugby. He left a huge impression on me, not only as someone with incredible rugby knowledge but also as a fantastic man. His contribution to English rugby was enormous, and he will be sorely missed."

Before coaching England, Rowell won five Premiership titles over 16 years with Bath. He later returned to Bath as director of rugby in 2002.

Bath Rugby released a statement: "It is with deep sadness that we learned of the passing of former Bath Rugby head coach and club president Jack Rowell on Monday, July 1."
