Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz treated fans to a thrilling display on Court One, securing a remarkable second-round victory over Australia's Aleksandar Vukic.

The match between Carlos Alcaraz and Aleksandar Vukic started with a thrilling and unpredictable first set before the Spaniard took control, ultimately securing a 7-6 (7-5), 6-2, 6-2 victory.

Alcaraz, aiming for consecutive major titles after his French Open triumph last month, expressed satisfaction with his performance. "I'm really pleased with how I played today," the 21-year-old remarked. "The first set was crucial for settling my nerves. It was very tight."

Vukic, who had a tough five-set match in the first round against Sebastian Ofner, appeared fatigued and fell behind 5-2 in the first set against Alcaraz.

However, he rallied back, handling Alcaraz's mix of tricky drop shots and powerful strokes to break back and force a tie-break.
