Zhao Prepares for Return Following Match-Fixing Controversy.

Zhao Xintong, the 2021 UK Championship winner, will make his return to snooker later this month after completing his ban.

Zhao Xintong, one of 10 Chinese players banned last year in a major match-fixing scandal, will return to snooker later this month.

Although Zhao didn't directly fix matches, he was involved in betting and was found guilty of being linked to another player's match-fixing.

He has been banned for one year and eight months, reduced from two and a half years due to his early admissions and guilty plea.

Zhao also paid £7,500 in costs. His suspension started in January 2023 and ended on September 2, 2024.

Zhao will compete in the WPBSA Q Tour event in Sofia, Bulgaria, starting September 20. He will face Vilius Schulte-Ebbert in his first match back.
