WTC Landscape: England's Hopes Diminish as Sri Lanka and Bangladesh Remain in the Race.

With 12 series and 30 Tests remaining in the World Test Championship cycle, the competition for the top two spots is heating up.

To have a chance at reaching the final at Lord’s, teams will need to aim for a percentage score of around 60%, based on the previous cycle's finalists—Australia at 66.67% and India at 58.8%.

Sri Lanka

Percentage: 42.86. Remaining series: New Zealand (two home Tests), South Africa (two away Tests), Australia (two home Tests).

Sri Lanka’s win at The Oval keeps them in the running for a top-two finish. Winning all six remaining matches would give them a 69.23% score, likely securing a spot in the final.

Winning five of six would result in a 61.54% score, still keeping them in the race. Four of their remaining six Tests are at home, against New Zealand and Australia.
