World Superbikes: Alvaro Bautista wins in the finals of the Barcelona race.

Unstoppable Alvaro Bautista wrapped up a commanding treble as Jonathan Rea finished fifth in the final World Superbike race of the weekend at Catalunya.

Kawasaki Jonathan rider Rea crashed out at the end of the long front straight as Toprak Razgatlioglu overtook the Ulster rider on the brakes into Turn 1 at the start of the final lap.

It was a fast spill for six-time champion Rea, who fortunately escaped unhurt.

Toprak Razgatlioglu was second in race two with Michael Ruben Rinaldi third.

Alvaro Bautista leads the Championship by 56 points from Pata Yamaha's Toprak Razgatlioglu going into the first race and is 101 points clear of six-time champion Rea back in fifth.

Bautista, who clinched the world crown for the first time in 2022, has been untouchable on Aruba and on Thursday confirmed he had agreed an extension to his contract with the Italian manufacturer until the end of the 2024 season.
