American Noah Lyles ran the third-fastest time in history and broke Michael Johnson's American record, crossing the line in 19.31 seconds and clinched the men's World Championship 200m gold at the World Athletics Championships in Oregon.
The 25-year-old, Noah Lyles came into the race as the fastest qualifier, but faced a tough challenge from the young Knighton who earlier this year had become the fourth-fastest man in history with a time of 19.49.
Kenny Bednarek finishing the line in 19.77 seconds and wins the silver medal for his country while 18-year-old sensation Erriyon Knighton bagged the bronze medal by completing the track in 19.80 seconds.
