Women's World Lacrosse Championships: U.S. women's got victory over Canadian women's.

The United States women's started the World Lacrosse Women's World Championship in Maryland with a 16-11 win against Canadian women's in front of a thrilling crowd at Johnny Unitas Stadium in Maryland.

The two-time Tewaaraton winner Charlotte North hits hat-trick in the first quarter which gave the US a 5-2 lead after the opening quarter, but the teams traded goals over the next two quarters. The last coming from Hannah Morris with 6:29 left in the third quarter that made the score line 9-7.

 The US scored three straight goals over the final five minutes of the third quarter by Emily Parros, Sam Apuzzo, and North, to go up 12-7 entering the last period.

Finally the US women's took over the game from their opponent and had a victory with 16-11.
