Women's T20 World Cup Relocated from Bangladesh to UAE.

The 2024 Women's T20 World Cup has been relocated from Bangladesh to the United Arab Emirates due to civil unrest in Bangladesh.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced that the 2024 Women's T20 World Cup will now take place in the UAE at Dubai and Sharjah from October 3-20.

The move follows the resignation and escape of Bangladesh's former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to India after weeks of violent protests.

ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice expressed disappointment that Bangladesh couldn't host the event but thanked the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for their efforts. He also expressed gratitude to the Emirates Cricket Board for stepping in to host the tournament.
