Wimbledon Champions Hewett and Reid Named in Paralympics Team.

Wimbledon singles champion Alfie Hewett is set to compete for gold in Paris, having been chosen for the six-player wheelchair tennis team representing ParalympicsGB at the 2024 Games.

Alfie Hewett, 26, a three-time Paralympic silver medallist, is set to chase his first gold medal in Paris. He was the runner-up in men’s singles and doubles at Rio 2016, and in doubles at Tokyo 2021.

Gordon Reid, Hewett’s doubles partner with 21 Grand Slam titles, will join him, along with Ben Bartram and Dahnon Ward, for the men’s singles and doubles at Roland Garros.

Hewett arrives in France on a high after winning his first Wimbledon singles title and securing his sixth doubles trophy with Reid.

Lucy Shuker and Andy Lapthorne round out the team, competing in the women’s wheelchair and quad wheelchair events.

Shuker, a three-time doubles medallist, will be making her fifth Paralympic appearance.
