England’s Matt Wallace kept his cool to win the European Masters in Switzerland, defeating Spain’s Alfredo Garcia-Heredia in a playoff.
Matt Wallace, 34, saw his four-shot lead shrink on the final day but secured victory with a birdie on the 18th hole in a playoff, earning his fifth DP World Tour title and first in six years.
"It was a tough day," said an emotional Wallace, recalling his 2022 playoff loss at the same course. "I wasn't focused then, but today I was. I'm buzzing."
Wallace finished level in the final round, while Spain's Alfredo Garcia-Heredia forced the playoff with a four-under 66, tying at 11 under.
