Wales manager, Ryan Giggs resigns officially.

Ryan Giggs, the former Manchester United winger has officially announced to step down as Wales football manager.

Giggs has resigned from his role and said he does not want the team's World Cup preparations to be affected.

Ryan Giggs was arrested in November 2020 as he was charged with controlling and coercive behavior and assault against his ex-girlfriend and her sister.

After pleading for not to be guilty, Ryan was given bail but faces a domestic violence trial in Manchester on August 8, charges which he denies.

Giggs exclaimed to media that  "After much consideration, I am standing down from my position as manager of the Wales men’s national team with immediate effect."

"I do not want the country’s preparations for the World Cup to be affected or destabilized in any way by the continued interest around this case."
