Belgium's Wout van Aert maintained his lead at the Vuelta a España by winning stage three on Monday with a strong sprint finish.
Van Aert outpaced Kaden Groves to win the 191.2km stage from Lousa to Castelo Branco in Portugal, avenging his loss to Groves in stage two.
Van Aert, riding for Visma-Lease a Bike, retains the red leader's jersey with this victory, his first since February and his 10th Grand Tour stage win.
Groves (Alpecin-Deceuninck) finished second, and Spanish rider Jon Aberasturi (Euskaltel-Euskadi) took third.
