Belgian cyclist Wout van Aert will be sidelined for the rest of the season following a crash in Tuesday's Vuelta a España.
Visma Lease a Bike rider Wout van Aert will need "intensive care" for a serious knee injury that forced him to withdraw from the Vuelta a España.
The 29-year-old crashed into a hillside during stage 16 and initially got back on his bike, but had to stop again due to severe knee pain.
Visma stated that van Aert will take time off to fully recover and will then start preparing for the next season.
