Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, has been chosen to host the 2028 Solheim Cup, bringing one of women’s golf’s premier events to the heart of Kentucky.
The 2028 Solheim Cup will mark the first major women’s golf event at Valhalla, which has previously hosted four PGA Championships and the 2008 Ryder Cup.
Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the course saw Xander Schauffele win his first major title there in May.
The exact dates for the Solheim Cup are still to be set.
The 2024 tournament will take place at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia from September 13-15, and the 2026 event will be held at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands.
The U.S. currently leads Europe 10-7-1 in the competition.
