Liverpool has secured a deal to sign Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia for up to £29 million.

Liverpool has agreed to sign 23-year-old Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia for £25 million, plus £4 million in add-ons, pending work permit approval and international clearance.

Despite the agreement, he will remain with Valencia for the 2024-25 season, joining Liverpool for the 2025-26 campaign.

Alisson Becker remains Liverpool's first-choice goalkeeper, with Caoimhin Kelleher as backup under new manager Arne Slot.

Mamardashvili, who featured in all four of Georgia's Euro 2024 matches, has made 102 appearances for Valencia since 2021 and started their first two games this season.

Liverpool moved quickly to secure the deal, anticipating increased interest in the goalkeeper in the next 12-24 months.
