Usyk Eyes Cruiserweight Comeback Following Fury Rematch.

After his rematch with Tyson Fury in December, undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk might consider returning to the cruiserweight division.

Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk made history as boxing's first four-belt undisputed heavyweight champion, winning a split decision over Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia this May.

The 37-year-old is set to face Fury again on December 21 but may then consider dropping back down to cruiserweight.

"I think after the rematch, I'll move down to cruiserweight. I want more fights in that division," Usyk shared on the '3 Knockdown Rule' podcast. "Maybe I can become undisputed cruiserweight champion again; that's my plan. When I prepare for heavyweight fights, I have to eat constantly, which is tough for me."

Usyk transitioned to the heavyweight division in 2019 after reigning as the undisputed cruiserweight champion. He weighed in at 224 pounds, the heaviest of his career, for his fight against Fury.
