Southampton manager Russell Martin admitted he was "hurt" by his team's lack of spirit and fight in their 3-1 Premier League loss to Bournemouth.
The defeat leaves Southampton winless after six matches in the Premier League, placing them 19th in the standings with just one point—tying their worst start to a season since 1998-99.
Martin was especially frustrated with how his team fell apart after Evanilson scored the first goal for Bournemouth, who quickly added two more before halftime.
"I think the fact they committed 20 fouls to our 10 really sums up the whole game," Martin stated.
