US Open 2022: Fitzpatrick claims his first major golf championship title on the PGA Tour.

Matthew Fitzpatrick clinched the U.S. Open, which is his first major golf championship title on a PGA tour.

Previously Fitzpatrick, won the U.S. Amateur at the Country Club nine years ago. In 2022 he wins the Grand title. 

This is his first win at a major golf championship and on the PGA Tour with a fourth-round 68 that made him six under par for the tournament in Sunday's final round of the tournament held in Brookline, Mass.

Matthew Fitzpatrick becomes the first Englishman to win the U.S. Open since 2013 as well as he becomes the first player from outside the U.S. to win both the U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur.

After bagging the title, Fitzpatrick earned $3.15 million for the victory.
