Un-Nooh Falls Short of 147 Again, Missing Final Black for the Third Time.

Thepchaiya Un-Nooh of Thailand made headlines for the wrong reasons when he failed to pot the final black ball, missing out on a maximum break for the third time in his career.

The 39-year-old nearly made a difficult cut on the black ball in the second frame of his 6-4 victory against China's Lei Peifan while qualifying for the International Championship in Sheffield.

In 2015, he lost a chance to win £44,000 when he missed the last ball at the UK Championships. At that time, he mentioned, "There was too much pressure."

A year later, Thepchaiya Un-Nooh faced disappointment once more in his quest for a 147 break during a World Championship qualifier against Anthony McGill.

This loss solidified his unique spot in snooker history as the only player to have missed the crucial black ball for an official 147 break more than once.

Now, eight years later, he has extended this record, adding another chapter to his bittersweet legacy in the sport.
