UEFA Penalizes Seven Nations Over Racist Chants.

UEFA has sanctioned seven of the 24 countries competing in Euro 2024 due to racist or discriminatory behavior by their fans.

Several football associations from Serbia, Croatia, Romania, Slovenia, Austria, Hungary, and Albania have faced sanctions.

The penalties vary: Croatia received a €50,000 fine and a ban on selling tickets for their next UEFA away game in Portugal on September 5. Austria was fined €20,000 and given a suspended two-year ban on selling tickets for their next UEFA away match.

In total, 17 games have been affected, involving Slovenia, Romania, Croatia, and Serbia.
