The 'Gypsy King' Tyson Fury has called off his fellow countryman Anthony Joshua to sign a contract for a proposed heavyweight world-title fight in December after his self-imposed deadline expired.
Negotiations between the fighters' camps have been going on for several weeks and it seemed Joshua agreed to a 60-40 purse split in Fury's favor for the all-British blockbuster bout, set to be held before the end of the year.
Ahead of Fury's announcement, boxing promoter Eddie Hearn had expressed that there is "no chance" the contract for the world title fight between the Gypsy King and Anthony Joshua will be signed. However, Hearn revealed that his team was verifying the contract and claiming it was "all over the place" after waiting nine days to receive it.
