Two-Time Champion Jones Faces Early Exit at the Olympics Again.

Jade Jones' quest for Olympic glory ended early once again with a first-round loss in the -57kg taekwondo event in Paris.

The 31-year-old Briton was aiming to become the first taekwondo athlete to win three Olympic golds. However, she faced an early exit, losing in the first round to Macedonia's Miljana Reljikj.

Jones had previously experienced a similar setback in Tokyo, which she called the 'biggest low' of her career.

On Thursday, she lost the first round, narrowly won the second, and drew the third, leading to a tie-breaker based on registered hits, where Reljikj prevailed.

Jones still has a chance to compete for bronze if Reljikj advances to the finals at the Grand Palais. She was allowed to compete in Paris after a no-fault doping violation was cleared on confidential medical grounds.
