Tuilagi's Bayonne Debut Postponed Due to Broken Hand.

Manu Tuilagi, the former England centre, will miss the beginning of the Top 14 season with his new team Bayonne due to a broken hand.

Manu Tuilagi, 33, ended his international career and left Sale Sharks after the Premiership season.

The Samoa-born star, who had 60 international caps, moved to France with the RFU rules requiring players to be in an English club for international selection.

Tuilagi will be sidelined for six to eight weeks due to a broken hand, missing Bayonne's Top 14 opener against Perpignan on September 7. His club announced, "Following the preparation match against Biarritz Olympique, some players are returning to the infirmary. Manu Tuilagi, with a broken hand, will be out for between six and eight weeks."
