World number one Judd Trump recorded his 1,000th career century but lost 5-3 to Mark Allen in the quarter-finals of the British Open.
Trump becomes the third player ever to reach 1,000 centuries, following Ronnie O'Sullivan in 2019 and John Higgins, who achieved the milestone earlier this month.
In the match, Trump made an impressive break of 101 in the second frame to tie the score at 1-1 but then fell behind 4-1. He managed a brief comeback against Northern Irishman Mark Allen, who will advance to face Mark Selby in the semi-finals on Saturday.
Four-time world champion Selby secured his fourth straight win in a deciding frame, edging past David Gilbert 5-4.
Meanwhile, Higgins, another four-time Crucible champion, showcased his skills with two century breaks in a 5-1 victory over Elliot Slessor.
The 49-year-old Scot will next compete against Jak Jones or Oliver Lines.
