Trailblazing Gymnast Dipa Karmakar Set for World Championships Debut in Cairo.

In a remarkable comeback, Dipa Karmakar, the renowned gymnast, is gearing up to showcase her skills on the global stage once more.
After a hiatus of five years, she's back to represent her nation in the World Gymnastics Championships, scheduled to take place in Cairo, Egypt, from February 15th to 18th.

Dipa, the star of Rio Olympics, has made headlines once again. She's currently in New Delhi, diligently honing her skills for the upcoming World Championships.

On Monday, she's all set to fly off to Cairo. Despite a nagging right leg injury, Dipa, a Padma Shri awardee, is unwavering in her commitment to shine on the vaulting table, her specialty event in the upcoming championships.

Her coach, Vishveshwar Nandi, a recipient of the prestigious Dronacharya award, believes in her talent but is also worried about her injury.

He said, "While her right leg hasn't completely healed from the surgery, I trust she'll make the nation proud with her performance."

Facing a career setback, she endured a three-year suspension over a doping controversy. However, through sheer dedication and hard work, she has overcome the odds, clearing her name and striving to showcase her prowess at the world championships.

Her aim is to represent India with pride at the championships in Egypt.

The Tripura State Gymnastics Association and her fellow gymnasts have rallied behind Dipa, showering her with their best wishes for success.
