Belgian Wout van Aert (Jumbo-Visma) had powered to victory on stage four of the Tour de France, extending his lead as the overall leader of the race in the process.
After coming second on each of the first three stages in Denmark, the Jumbo-Visma man finally tasted victory.
In the final 6km track van Aert kicked and pushed his cycle so hard and built up a considerable gap over the other riders. Despite the best efforts from the peloton, no rider could catch Van Aert in the closing stages.
The 27-year-old, Van Aert flapped his arms before punching the air in victory as he crossed the line in yellow, and later explained his celebration by saying "this jersey gives me wings to fly".
