Tottenham has suspended Yves Bissouma from their Premier League match against Leicester City on Monday after a video surfaced showing the midfielder inhaling laughing gas.
Despite Yves Bissouma’s apology for what he called a "severe lack of judgment," Tottenham has suspended the 27-year-old midfielder from their upcoming match against Leicester City.
Bissouma had posted a video on social media showing him inhaling from a balloon, which led to the suspension.
Possession of nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas or NOS, has been illegal for recreational use in the UK since 2023, carrying a potential two-year prison sentence.
Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou stated, "We’ve suspended him from Monday’s game. There’s trust that needs to be rebuilt between Bissouma, myself, and the team. He’ll have to work hard to earn that back."
