Tottenham denies Bayern Munich's latest bid to sign Harry Kane in this summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur has officially denied Bayern Munich's latest bid to sign England International Harry Kane in this summer transfer window.

The latest offer was understood to be some £25million short of Spurs’ valuation of the England captain and Bayern officials are set to weigh up their options at a pre-planned meeting.

Kane has made it clear that he expects to stay at Spurs if no deal has been agreed before they begin the new campaign at Brentford on Sunday.

Meanwhile, head coach Ange Postecoglou suggested that the only deadline for a transfer remained the end of the transfer window at midnight on September 1.

Bayern had a first bid of €70m plus add-ons for Kane rejected in June, before a second increased proposal was turned down at the start of July.

This rejection marked the third unsuccessful bid from Bayern Munich, leaving them to decide whether to continue their pursuit or move on to other targets.

However, as there are more than three weeks remaining in the transfer window, it's uncertain whether they will indeed pursue that course of action.

Kane, who has scored 280 goals in 435 appearances for Tottenham across various competitions, captained the team in their pre-season match against Shakhtar Donetsk on Sunday.
