Chelsea board has announced and confirmed Todd Boehly as the new chairman of Chelsea after the departure of present chairman Bruce Buck.

Bruce Buck disclosed his departure date as on 30th June.

As Marina Granovskaia is stepping down from her role as sporting director, the Chelsea board decided to appoint Boehly as the sporting director on an interim basis until a full-time replacement is found.

After the two major appointments Boehly commented that "As custodians of Chelsea FC, we now begin executing our long-term vision and plan for the club, creating an outstanding experience for its passionate, loyal fans, and continuing to challenge for top honors in line with Chelsea FC's dedicated history."
